Build, Race Your Own Chico Palio Horse to Kick-off Artoberfest

Don’t miss this year’s fun — live entertainment, great food, free art activities and a chance to build your own Palio horse.

It’s that time of year again, Chico Palio is right around the corner. Kick-off Artoberfest, Chico’s month-long celebration of arts and culture, Saturday, September 10th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Downtown Chico City Plaza.

Chico Palio includes a full day of special events the whole family can enjoy, for free. Local organizations will be holding booths to promote their Artoberfest events with free, hands-on art activities for kids. Don’t miss this year’s entertainment with live performances from local musicians, theater groups and dance teams throughout the day with the annual horse race and design competition at noon.

It’s not too late to sign up to build a horse or flag to represent your neighborhood, team or organization. It’s a great way to connect with the community, show off your creativity and participate in friendly compeitition and it’s completely free.  Sign up today at www.chicopalio.org.
