Redding Police Ask for Help Locating Man’s Attackers

On August 26, 2011 at 1158 hours, Redding Police Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at 1320 Old Alturas Road in Redding.

The victim, Charles Zimmerman, age 35 years of Lakehead, CA reported that several subjects followed him to the residence in a red Chevrolet pickup and attacked him at the residence. The subjects then left the scene in the same pickup.

During the altercation, Zimmerman sustained a stab wound to his lower torso and a possible broken ankle. Zimmerman was transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing at this time and anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Redding Police Department.
