U-Prep is Temporary Evacuation/ Fire Mobilization Center for Happy Valley Fire

The Redding Salvation Army Corps Office is mobilizing now to help Happy Valley fire victims and firefighters.

It has set up an evacuation center and fire mobilization spot at U-Prep (east of Shasta High School) on Eureka Way in Redding.

Starting at 7:30 p.m. meals will be provided for Happy Valley fire evacuees and firefighters, both at U-Prep and in the field.

Hydration and food for firefighters will be provided on a continual basis.

According to a Salvation Army press release, ongoing assistance will be provided in many areas of need for the victims/evacuees as long as necessary to provide food, shelter, clothing, and furniture relief for all that are in need from this afternoon’s fire.
