Shasta County’s mailed ballots for the March 5 Presidential Primary Election have reached their destinations.
Some of the most hotly contested races are among nine Shasta County Board of Supervisors candidates. A News Cafe reached out to all the supervisor candidates. Five accepted A News Cafe’s invitation to answer identical questions. Those supervisors are District 2 candidates Susanne Baremore, Allen Long and Laura Hobbs; District 3 incumbent Mary Rickert, and District 4 candidate Matt Plummer.
Candidates who did not accept the invitation are District 2 candidate Dan Sloan, District 3 candidates Corkey Harmon and Win Carpenter, and District 4 incumbent/candidate Patrick Jones.
For a re-cap of A News Cafe’s questions and the five of the candidates’ answers, see below for Baremore, Long, Hobbs, Rickert and Plummer’s Q&As for your review.
