My two young nieces (15 and 11 years old) are aspiring filmmakers. Although they live in Southern California, they have close ties to the north state. They have made a few films and commercials to benefit local nonprofits, and have also donated the proceeds of several of their performances to local nonprofits that benefit children.
In response to the Covid-19 stay-at-home orders, they decided to put together several of their films that had been reserved for film festivals this spring and are releasing them early for public viewing. I am proud of them because the early release disqualifies them from future festival participation.
Their effort is called “7 Films for 7 Days.”
All the films are ‘shorts’, each is a good 3-minute diversion for adults or kids. Below is a link to their 7-film site…it takes you directly to my favorite “Maybe” which has already won several awards. There is a 30-second introduction by Sofia and Alexis who explain the event.
I hope you enjoy it:
