Turtle Bay Exploration Park will host a Meet the Artist talk with the artist behind one of the fall exhibitions at the Park: Betty LaDuke. At 2pm on October 1st, she will talk about her exhibition, “Bountiful Harvest,” and her work with agriculture around the world. She will also be available to sign copies of her new book, Bountiful Harvest, which is available in the Museum Store.
The exhibition “Bountiful Harvest: From Land to Table” opens that day at Turtle Bay as well. Oregon artist Betty LaDuke’s bright, colorful paintings explore and celebrate Oregon’s agricultural bounty and the workers who plant, tend, and harvest it. Additional interpretive information lets guests go in-depth and learn the stories of the people portrayed in the artworks. “Bountiful Harvest” will be open October 1 through January 8, 2017 and is presented by Healthy Shasta and supported by Shasta Regional Medical Center, with additional support from Ralph Prather Ranch Foundation.
The Meet the Artist program and the exhibition are included in the cost of admission. For full Park hours and information, as well as additional information about coming exhibitions and programs, visit turtlebay.org.
