On July 18, 2014 at 8:25 p.m. Redding Police officers responded to the 1400 block of Greenback Lane.
Victim Wyvon Ritchie, age 80 of Redding, was doing yard work in front of his residence, when a subject unknown to him walked up to him and for reasons unknown punched Mr. Ritchie on his face. The punch caused Mr. Ritchie to fall and break his right femur.
The suspect then fled the area on foot. Officers located the suspect near the area of Lake Blvd at Keswick Dam Rd.
The suspect was identified as William Isiah Noyes, age 29 of Redding. Noyes fought with officers during his arrest but was subsequently taken into custody. Noyes was previously wanted for the attempted sexual assault of a 14 year old girl. Noyes was booked into County jail on the following charges: Elder Abuse, Resisting Arrest, Vandalism, and False Imprisonment.
