Who Needs a Flu Shot?

It’s flu season, and flu vaccine is recommended for everyone ages 6 months and older. Visit your health care provider or one of the many retail locations that offer the vaccine, including drug stores and grocery stores.

Shasta County Public Health is also offering clinics where people can get flu vaccine (shots or nasal spray). Times and dates are:

Drive-through flu vaccine clinics:

  • Oct. 10: 10 am-1 pm, Shasta District Fairgrounds, Anderson
  • Oct. 26: 11 am-2 pm, Redding Convention Center

Other flu vaccine clinics:

  • Oct. 23: 10 am-noon, John Beaudet Senior Center, Shasta Lake
  • Oct. 23: 10 am-noon, Intermountain Fairgrounds, McArthur
  • Nov. 7: 10 am-noon, Shasta Senior Nutrition, Redding
  • Nov. 15: 4-7 pm, Mt. Shasta Mall, Redding 4-7 pm, Mt. Shasta Mall, Redding

Flu shots are $10 each. Cash, check, Medi-Cal and Medicare Part B are accepted (no private insurance).  Vaccine is also available by appointment only at Public Health’s main office on Breslauer Way and at its regional offices in downtown Redding, Enterprise, Anderson and Burney.
