The highly attended 16th annual Latino Independence Day Fiesta is coming on September 16 from noon until 5 p.m. at the Anderson River Park’s K.C. Grove Amphitheater, in Anderson, CA.
Organized by the NORTHERN HISPANIC LATINO COALITION, this year’s theme is, “Year of the Youth.”
Featured activities will include the ever popular “Jinetes”, or Mexican Cowboys and their amazing dancing horses; local Youth Achievement and Talent Awards; local singer and American Idol contestant Michael Vasquez; Folkloric Dancers; Health Fair; Youth Activities; delicious traditional Latino Foods; raffles and prizes; live Latino Music; and lots more!
All activities are to support and surround our youth in a healthy development. As always ALL proceeds go toward youth scholarships next year.
Admission is still free, and donations are most welcome. Come and bring the whole family for a wholesome outing to explore the Latino culture down by the cool Sacramento River in beautiful Anderson.
Raffle tickets will be given out to those who bring a new toy or youth-gift for our new NHLC TOY DRIVE. Donations will be to needy children at Christmastime.
