International Juried Photo Show Call For Entries

Photographers from around the world are invited to submit their images online to the 2012 Images from A Glass Eye International Juried Photography Show, sponsored by the Tehama County Photo Club, of Red Bluff California.
Deadline for entries: June 27, 2012

The Best of Show will win $1,000, second place $500 and third place $250.
Entrants will be notified July 18, 2012, of their accepted works.  The show’s opening reception is  Friday, Aug. 24, 5-7 pm, and the exhibit  continues through Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at the Big Picture Gallery, 857 Washington Street.

Any photographers age 18 or older may enter images they have captured either digitally or on film and submit them as digital files online.  Entry fees are $30 for up to three images and $8 for each additional image with no limit on the number entered.

“We hope photographers of all experience levels will enter their favorite pictures.  We had several entries from countries around the world in last year’s exhibit, which added an international element to the local arts scene”, said Photo Club president Bob McConnell.

This year’s juror is Tony Sweet, a professional photographer whose photography is published world-wide in every medium.  He is the author of five photography books as well as a lecturer, who teaches workshop throughout the US, Canada and Iceland.  Tony’s articles and images are featured in Shutterbug and Rangefinder magazines.  “We are honored that Tony will be judging our Images From A Glass Eye entries,” said McConnell.

The Tehama County Photo Club, meets monthly to share photos, exchange ideas and learn techniques from each other.  The Club’s members exhibit and sell their photographic art in many community events throughout the County.  They also organize and participate in photography field trips.  Photographers of all levels are invited to attend.
