ARTicipate Campaign Nearing Goal

The Shasta Regional Community Foundation announces the ARTicipate Campaign is nearing its goal. Through this campaign, every dollar contributed up to $150,000, will be matched in full. To date the community has contributed over $135,000 of the amount needed to secure the entire match. The campaign has until November 30, 2011 to raise the remaining $15,000.

ARTicipate is a campaign that allows people to invest in the arts through the Shasta Siskiyou Arts Endowment. The Community Foundation has an extraordinary opportunity to ensure funding for the arts now and in the future thanks to a challenge grant from The James Irvine Foundation.

The Community Foundation chose to raise funds for the Arts Endowment after finishing up a three-year arts initiative in which $150,000 was granted to artists and arts projects in our area.

Through the power of endowment, a gift made to the Arts Endowment today will continue to grow allowing grants to be given to artists and art projects into perpetuity. Each matching dollar from The James Irvine Foundation will be used immediately for arts projects in the communities of Shasta and Siskiyou counties.

Today, more than ever, individual donors are vital to the arts. Support is needed to help to secure the entire match and ensure this source of funding for arts in our region is available for years to come.
