This Saturday, October 15th starting at noon local members of OCCUPY REDDING will protest what they see as the greedy actions of JP Morgan Chase Corporation who they feel have over-charged and wrongfully foreclosed on thousands of active duty service men & women. They feel this is a crime near treason and should not go unpunished and are asking concerned citizens to close Chase bank accounts and transfer balances to credit unions and local banks that did not take TARP (tax payer) bailout money. The media covered the story, which can be seen on our youtube page (link below).
The group will meet at 11:30 in the parking lot of the Safeway store on West Cypress before focusing on the Chase branch nearby until 2pm. Protest posters and banners as well as family, friends and coworkers are encouraged. A sister site in Chico has downloadable artwork made by local artists available at occupychico.com/downloadable-posters/
