Think Pink needs your help, organizers say. The breast cancer awareness campaign needs carnations.
Due to the declining economy, the generous florists and donors from previous years are unable to provide organizers with carnations for this year’s event. That’s 40,000 carnations.
Nor-Cal Think Pink would like to challenge the public to donate funds to support this cause. It is a well-established fact that early detection is the best defense against breast cancer. When caught and treated early, breast cancer has a 98% cure rate.
October 20, 2011 is the 15th Annual Nor-Cal THINK PINK Breast Cancer Awareness Day. The goal is to distribute 40,000 Think Pink bags containing valuable information on breast cancer awareness and prevention. To make sure every woman has the opportunity to receive a Think Pink bag with a signature carnation, the organizers are asking for help.
