Abstract Art, Jazz Trio, Musician’s Master Class This Week at the Loft

Bohemian Art Loft Exhibit Opening: Featuring Susan Rose’s modern abstract art created from her original collages.  Meet the artist and see this show Wednesday (July 6) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Music, refreshments. Exhibit continues through July at the Bohemian Art Loft, 3304B Bechelli Lane, Redding. (530) 229-7818.

Music Night at the Loft: Open invitation to musicians – all genres, all instruments – to share their music and jam. No censorship. Audience welcome.  Donations, refreshments, repeats first Thursday each month. This Thursday (July 7) at 7 p.m.

Matt Scallion Jazz Trio: Drummer Matt Scallion is joined by two of Redding’s finest: saxophonist Jeff Jones and bassist Bruce Calin at 7:30 p.m. Friday (July 8) Tickets $10, students $5.     I drive through Redding on my way to Sacramento about once a month. Art + Jazz… This is definitely something I would be into.
