What: BBQ Judging Class
When: Saturday (March 5), 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Rolling Hills Casino, 2655 Barham Ave, Corning
Cost: $100 per person
This is a rare opportunity in the northstate to become a Certified Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) BBQ Judge. If you have ever wanted to judge BBQ competitions (just like on TV), this certification will allow you a seat at the judges’ table before other non-certified people. This class will go over Presentation, Taste, and Tenderness. It will provide BBQ boxes to be judged and scored as well as go into the history and different types of meats typically associated with a sanctioned KCBS event.
