What: 10th Annual Dinner & Silent Auction at People of Progress’ Octuberfest

When: Oct. 21, 6 p.m.

Where: First United Methodist Church’s Social Hall, at the corner of South & East Streets in downtown Redding.

Honoring people, potatoes, and our ability to move forward together! Join us for savory soups, salads, and desserts on Thursday, October 21st at 6 p.m.

Gentle, lyrical Brazilian guitar dinner music by: Marc Soares & Tyler Mansfield

Comedic interludes by: Greg Pate & Phil Fountain

$15 each or two for $25, children 16 and under $7, and tater tots are free! Call 243-3811 to reserve your spot.

And to help celebrate Octuberfest, POP Super Thrift Shop is having a storewide half price sale! Thousands of items are half price Monday, October 11 through Saturday 16th. Store is open 10 to 4 weekdays and until 3 on Saturdays.

The POP thrift shop is in downtown Redding at 1242 Center Street, which is off Shasta Street, just west of California. Call 243-3811. Shop POP and you help our food bank and resource center serve 14,000 people each year with food for 240,000 meals, emergency clothing, voice mail, shelter, information, referrals, game plans and goodwill!
