Vocalist Noel Ross and saxophonist Dave Short team up to perform bossa nova music in the style of the Gilberto/Getz era, but with some modern twists. Noel’s cool, smooth voice and her impeccable use of the Portuguese language make her a natural for this music. Veteran Redding jazz performers round out this group, and Bernie Baker’s nylon string guitar gives it a distinct Jobim character.
