GO Picks 5.7.09

I actually screamed (just a little) when I saw this deal at the Redding Grocery Outlet this week: Libby Apricot Halves in light syrup in a #10 can.

Why the excitement, you might ask? Well, apricot tarts, for one thing. And apricot crisp, for another. The price: $4.99 at the GO – elsewhere $8.99. (Andrea, if you’re reading this, you’re grabbing your car keys now, aren’t you?)

My second GO pick came about because friend Troy raved about this Alter Eco Fair Trade chocolate, and well, Mother’s Day is coming, so I thought the least I could do was try the chocolate for myself (not that I don’t trust Troy’s taste in chocolate) just in case you were thinking of buying some for your mother, or in case you wanted some for yourself.

I tried it. It’s great. Oh, the price: 99 cents – elsewhere, $3.29.

No pushing, no shoving. Leave some for other – mothers.
