Good morning. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, spent with lovable people and memorable food. I know I did.
I ate the last slice of pumpkin pie for breakfast. Back on the wagon for me. As soon as the bread pudding’s gone.
True to my tradition, I forgot to serve one thing. Cranberries were this year’s forgotten food. (But that pales in comparison to the hand-cut, four-cheese ravioli with hazelnut/chive butter for 125 guests that I forgot to serve at our Tuscan-themed wedding 10 years ago. I should have spent the day before my wedding like most brides, getting a manicure. That’ll teach me.)
While many of us prepared and enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving meal, my son Joe in the Czech Republic was busy preparing a few treats for us.
First, in response to an e-mail from Becky, who had difficulty finding past recipes and posts, Joe created a new archives system. It’s so easy that even I can navigate it. (I’m computer phobic and technically challenged.)
Second, Joe added a subscription button (not sure if that’s the right term – maybe tool) so you can enter your e-mail address and receive notice about the latest donigreenberg.com posts.
Thank you, Joe. Â
Also, you might notice we added some links to such news sources as New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Newsday, CNN, as well as a north state weather link. We also included a link to one of my favorites, Snopes.com, a great resource to check out urban legends and modern myths. Â
On this day after Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for the opportunity for this giant-step career do-over. But I’m especially grateful to you, because you’ve made it possible. Thank you for coming here, hanging out, sharing your thoughts and suggestions and seeing what’s new.
Keep checking back. There’s a lot coming in the next few weeks, inlcuding the first “expert” Q&As, and a new “guest speaker” feature.
Thank you, and bless you all.
