    In reply to Doni Chamberlain. I had a simular experiance at Kangaroo Lake, except it was a bear, not racoons and the brownies had been enhanced. We packed up and got out of there before the bear got the munchies and came back for desert.

Research shows that the only folk repellants tested that are mildly effective against raccoons are oils and powders with high capsaicin (the hot stuff) derived from chili peppers, applied directly to what you don’t want them to eat.
