Cutting Board #7

Posted on June 15, 2009 by Phil Fountain and Steve Brewer

Phil: Steve, I don’t know what it is about televised sports, but I’m pretty sure those overtime NBA Finals games have not been good for my rapidly aging physique (yes, it’s a physique, a short round one, but it’s a physique).… Continue Reading →

Posted on May 22, 2009 by Phil Fountain and Steve Brewer

Posted on May 9, 2009 by Phil Fountain and Steve Brewer

Phil: So, how did you fare in your Scrabble Tournament? I have to hand it to you, you’ve managed to take a relatively innocuous board game, usually played only by retired English majors, and turn it into something akin to… Continue Reading →

The Cutting Board – 4.3.09

Posted on April 3, 2009 by Phil Fountain and Steve Brewer

Steve: I was moving the garbage bins and threw out my back. Phil: Since you were already at the bins, you should’ve thrown out your front, too. No, seriously, nothing worse than a bad back. Steve: Now I’m forced to… Continue Reading →

In reply to Mahmoud Darwish. It’s a relief that Joanna is comfortably ahead….but, will her hands be tied if Measure B passes?

In reply to Steve Towers. I'll ignore most of your comment to focus on talking about UC Davis opening a medical school here. Even though it was all hearsay, I was exposed to this idea maybe 16-17 years ago. From what I understand, Davis answered "Thanks, but no thanks." That answer makes sense to me; […]

In reply to Flounders. Good to know about parsley. And I am impressed (jealous) about your tarragon returning after winter. You're correct about it doing best in partial shade. It's delicate. (I can't remember where I bought the Mexican tarragon, but it's STURDY and loves full sun.)
