I was on the north side of the Sundial Bridge Friday night when the lights went out. The partial moon was out, which provided some light, that is, when it wasn’t behind a cloud.
Lights were on in the area on the south side of the bridge, at its entrance. But the bridge itself and all trail lights on the north side were out. There weren’t any signs there letting people know the bridge would be dark. So I’m wondering if it was sudden.
I asked security what the problem is and was told they didn’t know for sure. But they said they did know they’d be out until Monday.
So if you plan to visit the Sundial Bridge one evening this weekend, bring flashlights.
