Shasta Coalition, No Kings and Redding Resistance call on Shasta County residents to show up, speak out and vote
Shasta Coalition, No Kings and Redding Resistance will hold a No Kings Get Out The Vote Rally on Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to noon at Redding City Hall, 777 Cypress Avenue.
The rally carries the message of the national No Kings movement to Shasta County: in America, power belongs to the people, not to any one ruler. The organizers say that principle is defended at the ballot box.
With the November 3 general election less than three weeks away, they are urging every eligible resident to register, make a plan and cast a ballot.
Key voting dates for the November 3, 2026 general election:
• October 19: last day to register to vote online or by mail (registertovote.ca.gov)
• After October 19: eligible residents can still register and vote in person through Election Day using same-day (conditional) voter registration
• November 3: Election Day. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by this date, or returned to an official drop box or vote center by 8 p.m.
The rally also doubles as a community food drive. Attendees are asked to bring nonperishable food items, which will be donated to a local food bank.
The event is free and open to the public.
