The first meeting of the 2015-16 season of the Shasta College Youth Symphony will be on Wed., Aug. 19, 2015, at 4:00 P.M. in Room 633, Shasta College. This first rehearsal is organizational in nature. Players need only bring instruments if they need to audition between 4:30-5:30 P.M. on Aug. 19. Scales of G-D-A major will be heard, along with a short solo, followed by a short piece to sight-read. The last day of registration for all classes is Fri., Sept. 4, 2015. The first full rehearsal for all returning students/registered players will be Wed., Sept. 2, 2015, 4-5:30 P.M., Room 633. There will be a parent meeting on Wed., Sept. 9, 2015, 5-5:30 P.M.
