The Sacramento River Trail will be closed for public use on Saturday, October 4 from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Community Creek Clean-up event. This hard closure includes the trail between the Diestelhorst Bridge and the Stress Ribbon Bridge on the south side of the river.
Volunteers are invited to join the effort to clear vegetation away from the trail corridor, remove the invasive plants and improve visibility of the Sacramento River. Register at www.shastacreeks.com or at the event Saturday on the Diestelhorst Bridge. All volunteers must wear closed toe shoes. Long pants, sunscreen, and water bottle are also recommended. Tools, water, gloves and goggles will be provided.
As a reminder, the Lions Turtle Bay Three Bridges Run will be on the Sacramento River Trail on Sunday, October 5. Please yield to the runners.
