The Tehama Trail 4th Annual Passport Weekend, held on June 7 and 8, is your chance to take a leisurely drive along backcountry roads, learn how food grows, taste farm-fresh produce, artisan olive oil and handcrafted wine, and meet your local farmers – many of whom don’t generally open their farms to visitors.
The great thing about the self-guided Passport Weekend tour is that you get to begin and end your day when and where you prefer. This year, many of the farmers have partnered to keep drive time to a minimum, which allows for more visiting and tasting at each stop.
To make planning easy, the tour has been broken into two segments: a valley tour and a mountain tour. In addition, the farmers have provided helpful driving hints as well as a list of the special events being offered at each farm. Farmers suggest taking two full days to get a sense of how special the Tehama farming community is. If you can’t make it both days, the following list will help you select your ‘can’t-miss’ farms.
