The Redding Peace Officers’ Association (RPOA) would like to invite you to the First Annual South City Park Revitalization. The purpose of this event is to re-introduce citizens and families to South City Park. The RPOA strongly encourages families to use our city’s beautiful facilities, which promotes a better quality of life. This event will be on Saturday, June 7, 2014, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
RPOA is inviting local community organizations, clubs, and businesses to be part of this community activity. Our vision is to create a community service information-fair for children that provides both educational opportunities and fun activities. Each organization participating will have a booth where they provide business/service information and a hands-on activity for children. The hours for participants to have their booths will be from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
In addition, families are encouraged to stay for the baseball game between Asphalt Cowboys and local law enforcement officers. The game will begin at 6 p.m. at Tiger Field. During the game, there will be a drawing for prizes. The drawing will be held during the seventh inning stretch and you must be present to win.
