Mixed Bag of Shasta County Elections Results: District 3, School Boards, Redding City Council, Measures P&Q

A News Cafe spent the day at the Shasta County Elections Office. First, we attended a press conference conducted by Thomas Toller, Registrar of Voters. R.V. Scheide reported on that event.

Second, we stayed at the elections office awaiting the election results, and observed the observers.

Shasta County residents watch monitors for any ballot issues.

It was a quiet, largely uneventful day. Of great significance was the steady stream of voters who showed up to vote in person, or drop off their completed ballots at the Elections Office, which is also a polling place. The long line of voters snaked from the front door, and around the corner, sometimes nearly to the Placer Street alley access, from the moment the office opened until it was dark. While the polls closed at 8 p.m., all those still in line at 8 p.m. were allowed to vote.

Below are the three reports provided by the elections office. The first report was released Tuesday at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday. The second report was released at Tuesday at 10:46 p.m. The final report was released at Wednesday at 1 a.m.

Stay tuned for A News Cafe’s elections updates.
