2023 Bonnes Fêtes from Doug Cushman in France

If, perhaps, like me, you’ve felt as if you’ve been living on Earth Two this past year, where logic and common sense are foreign concepts, up is down, left is right, and the madmen and mad women of the asylum are running the crazy House (capital “H” intended), the ridiculous image of a pig raising a glass with a snowman au bar might seem hollow and empty.

But maybe that’s the point. A little seasonal nonsense is sometimes a good thing, where some silliness can ground us to what matters.

So – I offer a toast to good times during the year previous, to a sane and productive year forthcoming, and gathering with those diametrically different but discovering that cats can live with dogs, lions and lambs can share the same open field, and a snowman can enjoy a decent claret as much as a mouse.

Safe and healthy wishes to you and yours for the season and a prosperous return to Earth One.
