CURRENT SITUATION
• We had 68 cases Saturday and Sunday, including 41 men, and 26 women and 1 person of unknown gender:
– 2 children under age 13
– 4 teenagers
– 12 people in their 20s
– 13 people in their 30s
– 13 people in their 40s
– 7 people in their 50s
– 5 people in their 60s
– 8 people in their 70s
– 1 people in their 80s
– 3 people over age 89

• If you received your first COVID-19 shot during the mass vaccination clinic on January 16 in Redding, you can get your second dose Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Shasta District Fairgrounds in Anderson. This will be a drive-through clinic. Please arrive by last name: A-G, 10-11:30 a.m.; H-M, 11:30-1 p.m.; N-S, 1-2:30 p.m.; and T-Z, 2:30-4 p.m. Your CDC card that shows the date of your first vaccine is required. Other second dose options will be available soon.

• The safest way to celebrate Valentine’s Day is gathering virtually or with people who live with you.
– Make Valentine cards or decorations and drop them off to loved ones
– Take a walk with your Valentine
– Celebrate with loved ones virtually
– Prepare a special meal or dessert
– Plan a special movie or game night
– Have a picnic outside

• All three state COVID testing sites accept both walk-ins and appointments. Hours are 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Locations are:
– Shasta College (Monday through Friday)
– Boggs Building at 2420 Breslauer Way (Tuesday through Saturday)
– Senior Center at 2290 Benton Drive in Redding (Tuesday through Saturday)
