Current Situation:

•Shasta County has one new positive case today. The patient is a male in his 50s who is in isolation at home.

•Following the practices of the Centers for Disease Control and the California Department of Public Health, the number of recovered patients will no longer be reported.

•More testing is now available in Shasta County. People who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) should contact their healthcare provider to be tested. Those who don’t have a healthcare provider or are having trouble getting a test should call Shasta County Public Health at (530) 225-5591 so they can be screened and scheduled for mobile testing.
