All Saints’ Episcopal Church Invites Community to Contemplative Vigil on July 26

All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Redding invites the North State community to a contemplative vigil
service on the one-year anniversary of the Carr Fire.
The service—which will include music, readings, and a time of reflection—will be at 6 p.m.
Friday, July 26, at the church at 2150 Benton Drive in Redding. All are welcome.
“We will gather for sanctuary, solidarity, silence, and prayer on this first anniversary of this day of great loss, and great heroism in our community,” a church announcement reads. “Together we will lament our losses; we will give thanks for our lives and for the bravery and generosity of all who have worked for rescue and relief; and we will renew our hopes as people of resurrection life.”
The service precedes the “Redding Remembers” community event at the Sundial Bridge from 7 to 9:30 p.m. organized by the city of Redding and Shasta Regional Community Foundation.
