Art OUTside: A Celebration of Local LGBT+ Artists – Artist Deadline April 30th

The NorCal OUTreach Project is looking for submissions for its upcoming Art OUTside art festival showcasing and celebrating LGBT+ artists.

The event will be on May 20th, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Quarry Patio at Turtle Bay Exploration Park.

Art OUTside is a celebration of LGBT+ artists, life, culture and identity in Redding and Northern California.

All artists, makers and creators applying will be considered, emerging and established alike, but space will be limited.

This is an all-inclusive event, but artists should in some way be part of or supportive of the LGBT+ community. The art itself does not need to be LGBT+ themed and should be appropriate for a family audience. Submissions will be accepted now through April 30th, and accepted artists will be notified by May 4th.

Art OUTside will provide one 10’x10’ booth for selected artists to display and/or sell their artwork at no cost or commission. Selected artists will be required to fill out an application and provide a California seller’s permit.

Artists will be responsible for setting up and displaying their artwork. Volunteers will be available to assist in setting up and taking down displays if needed. Booths can also be shared by two or more artists if preferred.

Artists may email their submissions to lgbtqartoutside@gmail.com under the following guidelines:

  • Artist name
  • A short bio (250 words or less)
  • Medium and style of art you create
  • 4 photos as examples of your art.
  • A link to your website, artist page or Instagram account.
  • Phone number and email for easy contact.
  • Please don’t forget to put your name the subject line of the email

Once again, the submission deadline is April 30th, and artist notification will be no later than May 4th. There is no cost to apply.
