Dark desires and hidden agendas fuel extreme behaviors in Arthur Miller’s heart pounding play, The Crucible this October at the Shasta College Theatre. Based on the Salem Witch trials and inspired by the McCarthy hearings of the 1950s, The Crucible will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride of disturbing and often terrifying levels—perfect for Halloween thrill seekers looking for something new and exciting!
Performance dates are: October 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 at 7pm. There are two matinee performances on October 15th and 22rd at 2pm. There is also a student matinee performance October 20th at 11am. All performances are at the Shasta College Theatre. Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. This production is rated PG.
The production features Shasta College students, faculty and community members including: Blake Fisher, Chelsea Bailey, Wylie Ernst and Mathew McDonald. The production is directed by Dr. Gregory Thorson with David Fraser as the set designer, costumes by Hilary Fahey, lighting by Tim Dye and hair and makeup by Matthew McDonald. There is also a student matinee performance October 20th at 11am. This performance is for local high school and middle school students. Tickets are only $5 for all students and chaperons.
