The Shasta College Pre-Symphony will present their fall concert, “Across America,” on Sunday, November 13 at 3:15pm in the Shasta College Theatre. This concert will celebrate the sounds of our nation and the dramatic landscape across America. Some familiar folk tunes and classic American songs, in addition to rousing patriotic works will be performed.
Beginning its 12th season, the Pre-Symphony (formerly Youth Symphony) welcomes Dr. Matthew Brooks, who joined the Shasta College Music Department this fall as conductor and instructor of music. This preparatory college orchestra features adult and student musicians of varying levels from Shasta College, local middle and high schools, and the surrounding communities.
