Gonzalo Curiel
On December 11, 2015 Tami Joy Huntsman (39 years of Quincy, CA) and Gonzalo Curiel (17 years of Quincy, CA) were taken into custody by the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office.
They were booked into the Plumas County Jail on charges of: Felony child abuse, torture and mayhem. The victim’s name is being withheld at this time.
Further investigation ultimately led to the discovery of two deceased juveniles inside of a storage unit in the city of Redding. The two juveniles have not been identified at this time. This case is being investigated as a homicide with an autopsy pending.
Huntsman and Curiel are recent residents of the Salinas area. The Redding Police Department is working in conjunction with the Salinas Police Department and the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office following up on potential leads.

On December 11, 2015 Tami Huntsman and Gonzalo Curiel were booked into the Plumas County Jail on charges of felony child abuse, torture and mayhem. The victim in that case was taken into protective custody and is being treated for injuries at a Sacramento area hospital.
During the course of the child abuse investigation in Plumas County, Plumas County Sheriff’s Investigators learned that there were possibly two deceased juveniles in a commercial storage unit in the city of Redding. This information was relayed to the Redding Police Department. Officers of the Redding Police Department responded to AAA Enterprise Store-All, located at 2887 Tarmac Road, and discovered there were in fact two deceased young juveniles inside of a rented storage unit.
On December 13, 2015 the Redding Police Department launched a homicide investigation. Huntsman and Curiel are considered suspects in this case.
The Redding Police Department has been in contact with the Salinas Police Department and learned that Huntsman and Curiel had physical custody of two juveniles that have been reported as missing persons. Their photos are depicted below. They are identified as 3 year old Delylah Tara and 6 year old Shaun Tara. It has not been confirmed if these are the same juveniles located in the storage unit. The identity and cause of death of the two juveniles has not been determined. An autopsy is pending.
Redding Police Investigators have learned that Huntsman and Curiel traveled between Salinas (CA), Redding (CA), Shingletown (CA) and Quincy (CA) between November 27, 2015 and December 11, 2015. Huntsman and Curiel stayed at the Motel 6 in Dunnigan, CA on November 28, 2015. Photos of Huntsman, Curiel and their vehicle are depicted below.
