Join us for an evening of : Why becoming climate literate could save us from ourselves, with a Q-and-A session to follow on October 28, 2015, at the Shasta College Main Campus, Room 806, at 7:00 p.m. This event is FREE and open to the public.
The featured TED Talks videos are of 3 renowned research scientists: Dr. James Hansen, Climate Scientist, former Director, NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies; Dr. Katherine Kayhoe, Climate Scientist, Director, Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University; and Dr. Richard Alley, Department of Geosciences, Penn State University and Winner 2011 Heinz Award for work on Abrupt Climate Change.
Following the videos will be a panel of accomplished professionals and concerned citizens—including a Climate Change writer, a radio show host, an eco-psychologist, an oceanographer, a minister, and an environmental activist who will lead a Q-and-A session.
