Each year Scott Valley Bank offers two significant scholarship awards, one in each Shasta and Siskiyou Counties to students who have achieved academic proficiency and have demonstrated an interest in business or finance, and plan to continue their education in those fields. The Scott Valley Bank scholarship provides funds for tuition, fees and books for 2 years of study at Shasta College or College of the Siskiyous and has a value of approximately $5,000.
This year’s recipient for the award to Shasta College, Janae Gray, has demonstrated an interest in business and finance as well as self-assurance, drive, athletic and academic prowess, service and leadership. Miss Gray has served as basketball coach and mentor through the Shasta Magic program, served in student leadership, and has participated in varsity basketball and track and field while a student at Enterprise High School. She aspires to own her own business focused on service to youth.
