O Street Galley Hosts Reception to Welcome Newest Group of Artists

O Street Gallery is hosting an artist reception on Fri., Jan. 16 from 7-9 p.m.

The gallery is located at 1261 Oregon St. in downtown Redding, inside the upstairs of Oregon Street Antiques.  The exhibit runs through April 10 and will feature artists Kathleen Lawrence-Davis, Chuck Prudhomme, Barbara Enochian, Ann Myers, Michael Haley, Greg Noble, Brooke Bartimioli, Diana Troxell, Vivi-Anne Thompson, Gene and Gwen Knaebel, Michelle Sparks and John Stewart.

The reception will feature light refreshments, along with live music by Bernie Baker of The Music Connection, and wine from Moseley Family Cellars.

Other Upcoming O Street Gallery Happenings

•  O Street Gallery will begin figure painting/drawing sessions Wednesdays beginning January 21, from 6-9 p.m.  This is an opportunity for artists to paint or draw from a live model.  The cost of $20 per person will cover model and gallery fees.  Artists are asked to bring their own equipment and supplies, and will work on their own.

•  Saturday, February 21, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., current O Street Gallery artist Michael Haley will give a demonstration on encaustic technique.  Encaustic is use of layers of melted wax.   Michael will give away his encaustic demo piece to one lucky attendee in a drawing.  Fee for the demonstration is $20.
