On November 10th, after nearly 27 years of volunteer service to Northern Valley Catholic Social Service (NVCSS) Board of Directors, Dr. Dave Gasman has stepped down from the role of Board President.
Dr. Gasman has been a part of NVCSS since it was founded in May of 1986 and was elected Board President in April 1988. He is responsible for hundreds of tours of the Agency that he has conducted in Shasta County. He has been an integral part of many successful fundraising campaigns and events. He is a member of the Finance Committee as well as being the Chair of the Housing Board. He and his family have contributed significantly to the NVCSS Endowment Fund, which will allow the Agency to develop new programs in the future that align with the mission of NVCSS when no other funding resources are available. Dr. Gasman states, “Change is expected after 26 plus years of service to the Agency, but change can be supportive to its future growth.”
Dr. Gasman will continue to participate on the Board as “Past President”. He will also remain active and engaged in NVCSS in other volunteer roles from “Tour Guide” to member of the Finance Committee and Housing Board.
Keith Hunting, CPA, has been appointed as President of the NVCSS Board of Directors. Mr. Hunting has been a member of the Board for the past 16 years, and has served as Vice-Chair for the past 10 years. He also serves the Agency by participating on the Finance Committee, Chairing the Investment Committee, and is a member of the Housing Board and Board of Directors Nominating Committee. He considers NVCSS to be part of his personal ministry and it is one of the many ways he gives back to the community. Mr. Hunting is the Managing Partner at D.H. Scott & Company, Certified Public Accountants in Redding.
