Paul Merrill left his home in Belmont, CA (San Mateo County) on 09/03/14 for a trip to the Mt. Shasta area. Merrill stayed over-night at the McCloud Hotel in McCloud, CA (Siskiyou County) and checked out on the morning of 09/04/14. Merrill was last seen at the McCloud Chevron Station shortly after checking out of the hotel. According to witnesses, Merrill left the gas station in the direction of McCloud Lake. Merrill does not have a cell phone. There is no indication of foul play at this time. There have been unconfirmed sightings of Merrill in Burney and Redding, CA (Shasta County).
Belmont PD Investigators are working with Siskiyou Co Sheriff, CHP, and Shasta County Sheriff in an effort to
locate Merrill.
