On August 21, 2014 at about 6:00 PM, Officer Hebert of the Redding Police Department located a stolen vehicle on Victor Avenue near Bramble Place. The car had been stolen the day prior in Redding and was occupied by George Jeffrey Howard, 50 yrs., of Redding.
Howard was arrested for vehicle theft and found to have a loaded, concealed handgun under the driver seat with him. He was booked at the Shasta County Jail for vehicle theft, being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm, ex-felon in possession of ammunition, carrying a concealed loaded handgun, and possession of stolen property.
