Join others who have suffered the loss of a friend or family member to suicide at the International Survivors of Suicide Day Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at the Redding Library.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) sponsors the event, held in communities throughout the country, that brings together suicide survivors for mutual support and practical guidance on coping with the unique grief that accompanies suicide.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. and is followed by a 90-minute AFSP broadcast. After the video, those who attend will be able to participate in a discussion led by Cyndi Larson, a Redding marriage and family therapist.
