Ad agency Abra Marketing has produced a short (27-minute) documentary that will premiere in Santa Rosa on Saturday, July 20th
The film features former martial arts Muay Thai world champion Jongsanan “Woodenman” who is currently the trainer for UFC Contender Gilbert Melendez. The film explores the spiritual aspects of this brutal sport, as told by 3 generations of Muay Thai trainers.
The film has received solid support from Bay Area press, including an article in the SF Examiner () and a review in the Press Democrat () which began:
“Pay attention. Isn’t that what a good movie should make you do? You pay attention because you suspect you will see something or feel something you never have. A good movie will advance your consciousness, take you to a place you never have visited.” – Bob Padecky, Press Democrat
The project is a unique marketing effort initiated and executed by the Abra Marketing team.
Abra’s principal Kurt Hoffmann drew on his prior experience as Marketing Director for a record label to produce a companion 10-song soundtrack for the film. Both the film and soundtrack will be released for worldwide distribution.
