From time to time I wander downtown with my camera and this time happened upon a sign that said "Art Show." Thinking to myself that an alley is an odd place to hold an art show I decided to follow the signs and see what turned up. I'm glad I did because turning the corner into the alley you can see eight or so classic works put up on the walls of the buildings with wallpaper paste. I talked to an employee from one of the buildings and he said it wasn't a planned event at all, someone had just randomly plastered fine art on the alley walls overnight and took off. We agreed it's better than the normal graffiti you can spot around Redding and I thought it would make for an interesting photograph. If you get a chance to see it before it gets taken down you should. Park on Yuba street near Brew Coffee and head towards the downtown mall area. After that just follow the signs. 🙂
