Women in Math and Science Conference March 10

The Redding branch of AAUW announces the Women in Math and Science Conference for 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls.

Target area is Math and Science Middle School educators.  The conference goals are:

•To increase young women’s interest in mathematics and science.
•To foster awareness of career opportunities for women in math and science related fields.
•To provide young women the opportunity to meet and form personal contacts with professional women in technical careers.

The conference is co-sponsored by AAUW, Redding Branch, Shasta County Office of Education and Shasta College.  The participants will have the opportunity to choose from four sessions to learn about those careers that are based on an educational background of math and science.  If you would like additional information please contact Betty Long (530) 547-3433, cl2522@snowcrest.net.
