City of Redding Mayor Missy McArthur’s State of the City speech will be broadcast on Redding Community Access Channel 11 at 8 p.m. Monday, October 10.
The address, entitled “Building Bridges to Prosperity,” was the highlight of the 24th Annual State of the City Luncheon held September 26. The luncheon also featured a presentation of the Mayor’s Philanthropic Achievement Award to Maurice and Marianne Johannessen.
Mayor McArthur’s speech acknowledged the ongoing challenges faced by the City in the past year as a result of the severe global recession. It also highlighted key accomplishments in 2010-11, as well as “bridges” the City is building toward fiscal security.
Additional air dates on Channel 11 are planned, with times to be announced later.
