North State Symphony Begins 10th Season

North State Symphony’s piano soloist in September is New York’s Diane Walsh. Ms. Walsh has had a fascinating career, performing Beethoven on-stage literally hundreds of time — not only in concert, but as part of the theatrical work 33 Variations, inspired by Ludwig van Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations.

Rite of Spring had a riotous premiere as part of a ballet of the same name. The music is exotic and uses primeval rhythms and evocative orchestral sounds, as old (a pre-Christian fertility ritual) meets new. A reproduction of the original choreography can be seen on YouTube.

North State Symphony returns to Oroville for this concert!

See concert details and ticket info on NSS’s website.
