On Wednesday, September 7th at 10:30 a.m., officers from the Arcata Police Department responded to Coast Central Credit Union at 1551 Giuntoli Lane for the report of a robbery.
Upon the officers’ arrival they were told a man had entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money. The teller complied and the man fled the business. The amount of money stolen will not be disclosed. The man was last seen running south west through the alley toward the Ray’s Food Place parking lot at 5000 Valley West Blvd.
No weapon was displayed or implied.
The man was described as a white male adult in his 30s, about 5’6″ tall, medium build, with short brown hair. He was wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a San Francisco Giants baseball cap.
Anyone who may have seen this man in the Valley West area before or after the time of the robbery is encouraged to call the APD at (707) 822-2424.
