Allison and Victor will perform at the Dunsmuir Brewery Works for a performance on the patio Friday, September 2, 7:30 p.m. Percussionist Mike Harris and keyboardist Stefan Schittko will also join them.
Allison & Victor create a fusion of musical forms uniquely their own. Enhanced by a cool Latin jazz beat, their sound has been touted as magnetic warm and lively with contemporary original songs, some jazz, and great vocal harmonies. In a mostly original set, Victor Martin performs on saxophone, shaker, and vocals while Allison takes the stage on her nylon-stringed guitar and vocals.
Originally from Germany, Stefan Schittko has had a lifelong love affair with jazz and has been inspired by artists such as Herbie Hancock and Weather Report. Currently living in Mount Shasta, Stefan performs regularly with the R&B band Sound Advice and has played in the the Ted Taforo Jazz Collective. A talented multi-instrumentalist — Mike Harris from Igo, California, will bring his steady supply of earthy rhythms and grooves on percussion, his instrument of choice.
